Above is a law jargon that I am not prolific at. Your privacy is indeed important to me and I will try to be as transparent as I can.
This is a website and it does collect data. They all do. Mainly, I use Google Analytics software for both curiosity and information. I can see how many visits I had, what pages were viewed how many times from what locations. I see this data in an aggregated form, thus I do not have information about you specifically.
You will also find a form to enter your e-mail and receive updates from me. As you can see, I do not ask for your name. I find it stupid to send email templates like “Hi, [name]! Please check this…” nope. When I email a newsletter I do not pretend to know you personally, and I do not act like I can send you anything I want. What you will receive is information about the content I publish on this site. To maintain my e-mail list, I use MailChimp software. They store your e-mail address for me. You can read about their privacy practices here.
At the moment this website does not contain ads, but it may soon do. In that case, you should be aware of how it works. Ads are often personalized unless you opt-out of personalization. The thing is, I am not doing this personalization, it is done by ad suppliers the largest from which is Google.
In some places, you may find links to the Amazon online store. If you click on these links and end up buying something (not necessarily the product I recommended), Amazon will pay me a commission and no price increase to you. This helps to pay me my bills, so a big thank you.
